... a lot of effort!

It was hell trying to put contact lenses on my own for the first time! Only after i poked my eyes red was i able to get the cursed lenses in!  But not before i almost lost one of them.  I dropped the right one! The horror of it all! I searched for it on the floor, on my bed, on my clothes, and i finally found it inside the fold of my jeans (i folded them up earlier, coz, well, it's more comfortable that way, ehehe...)

but all that paid off in the end. I am able to read things from afar again! Yay!

Now i don't have to worry about getting the wrong jeepney to stop and i don't have to be afraid i'd trip and land on my face on the way to work at night.  I can read the guitar chords without having my nose touch the book!  Yay! Yay!  I can play volleyball without having to squint my eyes so much in fear of being hit ("In your face, jowie!" OUCH!!!).  I can watch a movie without having my chin up all the time (coz my nose is not tall enough to keep the glasses on eye level... huhu... why was i not given enough nose?!)

All right! *drops glasses* Oops... where did my glasses go? *takes a step* Did i just hear something crack? *jumps up and down* No, i don't think anything cracked at all! *stomp-stomp-stomp* It's so nice to jump up and down like this! So nice... so nice... hehe...

So i went there, Sizzling Pepper Steak (in Trinoma)

What i ate: Demi Hamburg (Hamburger w/ demiglace sauce) served sizzling hot!

The meat: juicy, big, tastes like ordinary hamburger actually, but that doesn't matter much since i was after the sauce

The demiglace sauce: erm,i was expecting it to be richer in taste. but like i said before, i didn't really think it was going to be as yummy as it looked in Lunch Queen. so i wasn't that disappointed, not really. (yeah, keep convincing yourself, jowie! *lol*)

one of my friends said that if i really wanted to taste the real thing, i should try eating at a high class hotel or restaurant.  =(

heaven knows how i can afford that... i'd probably have to get another job! sheesh!
but someday, definitely, i'll get to taste it  =) and hopefully, the meal that goes with it will taste as good! XD

Other things i got to taste:

Chiken salad (can't remember how they call it there) - On a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being the highest), i give it a 4.  Not perfect, coz i found it lacking in chicken! haha! i was expecting chunks of chicken, but found none.  Or maybe my friends got to them first, i'm not really sure... hehe... Anyway, the rest of the salad was great.  Other things included are: grapes (yes!) mango slices, lettuce, dressing (i like!)... well there may be other things in there but i can't remember coz maybe i never got to eat them or i didn't pay attention to what i was eating any longer coz i was enjoying myself too much. =)

Corn soup: we all loved this! Creamy! We thought there were cheese and squash mixed in.  Were there? We forgot to ask. Anyway, this is definitely a MUST TRY food item! XD

What to try next: Beef Pepper Rice (their specialty, i think) with butter within that cup of steaming rice, in the midst of sizzling slices of beef! Smells nice! (will it taste as nice? I wonder... oh, but even just wondering is nice! XD)  Mix everything while hot! All right!

Tip: Control yourself! Do not eat at once or you'll burn your tongue! I did, despite my friend's warning! *lol* "Baka!" I promise not to do it again, ok? hehe... =P

Price range: more expensive than eating at KFC or Kenny Rogers'.  Like eating at Bubble Tea or Pizza Hut (when there are two or three of you to share a Large Pan Pizza.) Eat there on slightly special occasions if you are as poor as i am, meaning just earning enough to get by.  If you are filthy rich, then eat there everyday if you wish.  It's your money after all! =)

Will i be going back? Didn't i say i will try the Beef Pepper Rice next?

They say Christmas is the time for giving...
how cruel! i gave away something i didn't want to!
Something terribly unlucky happened on Christmas day.  That, or it's just me being terribly stupid and terribly sleepy at the same time. Bad!

Reading friends' blog entries while working keeps the frustration of being in the office on Christmas eve away.  Going to the restroom every now and then takes the pressure in your bladder away.  Drinking four glasses of iced tea, i had to make more than the usual number of trips to the restroom, it's just weird that it wasn't enough to keep me awake.
Anyway, i had my cellphone in my back pocket and i figured i should take it out so i don't accidentally drop it. A few minutes later... bladder empty... back to work.  A few hours later... need to go back to the restroom... have to take the cellphone out... have to take the cellphone out... WHERE THE HECK IS MY CELLPHONE?! NO WAY! not again... my parents are gonna kill me...
Well, they didn't.  But they kept asking me about it, i kinda wanted to die for a few hours.  (Heavens, let me wake up as soon as they finish their tirade...)

I can't believe my luck! Two phones lost in a year, and inside the office too, where people who find things would normally take it to the guards or the receptionist, so that if anybody comes looking, the things lost can be returned to the owners.  How come the people who find MY lost things always happen to be... i don't want to think of them as dishonest or selfish... but i can't help it! that's what they are to me!  Hey, at least return the memory card! There's nothing but my pictures in there! Surely, you don't need those! GIVE IT BACK!!! give it back please...

I guess there's no point crying over what i've lost... It's just that IT SUCKS BIG TIME!

So, i just tried to console myself by playing the guitar for hours, eating cake, going to the mall, going to the arcade to play Guitar Freaks... and failed miserably, utterly!

i was not to be seen smiling again until the following day.  I finally watched Kurosagi! Happy! First frame that showed YamaPi: Hot! Next frame he appeared: Hot! I think this is the first time i've seen him sporting a dark hair color. Hot!  I loved it!
Kurosagi.  Black Swindler.  I like the story.  I don't think there were any parts where i got bored.  I was always waiting for what's gonna happen next. Now i can't wait to see the movie! But this is really frustrating since i don't think it will ever be shown here. Sadness...
Guess i'll just have to wait til the DVD comes out.

Now, i'm back in the office! It's already "Good Morning!" to normal people and here i am trying not to get stressed out. but the tools and programs i am using are not working properly.  Hohum... what's new?

I'm feeling sleepy again... Can i just pretend i took the sleeping pills instead of the pain killers, by mistake? hehe...

Toink! I just remembered! I found a place serving Hamburg w/ demiglace sauce! And i don't care if it's not the traditional-25-hours-to-make demiglace sauce.  I just wanna have an idea of what it tastes like, even if it's just a poor imitation of the real thing!  So, Sizzling Pepper Steak, you'll see me soon! Yay! =)

-bought a songbook so i could play more songs with my guitar (practice! practice! practice!), i really wanna play better! i'm still crap, but in time... who knows... just maybe... i'll be at least half as good as miyavi...

-bought a spin dryer for my mom and dad! bought gifts for my sisters! yay! Merry Christmas!

-ate at a Korean Restaurant.  Spicy noodles are the best!  My fingers hurt coz i don't know how to use chopsticks!!! Slippery noodles are hard to eat that way, but i finished the damn thing! *lol*

-watched The Golden Compass and Enchanted with my mom (rare occurrence to do anything with my mom, since i'm always busy and when i am not, she is!)

-played Guitar Freaks like crazy! From beginners level 12-14 i can now go up to 20! Alright!

-found new comfort food: Sweet Crepes from Crepes & Cream at The  Fort and Powerplant.  Yummy! I want one now!

-colored my hair (light copper brown, i think...) red and blonde highlights underneath... good enough for starters =)

* i was just a bit disappointed that i didn't get to play as much volleyball as i wanted... Damn leg cramps! but at least i got to see my friends. XD

This is one of them doramas i didn't read about before watching.
Imagine my surprise when i saw Nishikido Ryo!
I have read a lot about this guy, but somehow i didn't remember reading anything about him being in Attention Please!
It's really ok though, since it's like i gave myself a nice surprise gift. =)

i have decided, i won't make summaries of these doramas i've seen anymore.  that way, there are no spoilers (plus i'm really kinda lazy. hehe...)

The pretty girl on the picture is Ueto Aya.  She's in the movie Azumi (1 and 2).  She plays Misaki Youko, a childish and stubborn rock vocalist of a so-so band.  Ueto Aya's a bit annoying sometimes, but sometime's you'll forgive her because she's cute.

Did i like this dorama? Not my favorite, but it will do (thanks to a certain guy who takes me to heaven everytime he smiles =P Damn, Sexy Osaka Man! ) I plot is familiar: a misfit/rebel surprising everyone by beating the odds stacked up against him/her with some help from a few loyal friends.

there are those who thought you'll just watch it if you are an Aya Ueto fan.  Some loved it.  Some thought it's a waste of time.  I think it's not the best out there, but watch it if you want a glimpse of the life of a cabin attendant.  Not easy!

You'll here these a lot: "Otsukaresama deshita" and "Arigatou gozaimashita"
Watching these doramas, you'll get to learn some Japanese phrases/words/statements too.  Isn't that nice?

And remember Shaider? There's a girl here who looks like Annie.  She also wore mini skirts but she never showed her panties! *lol*

Two more episodes and i'm done with this as well.  I think this is better than Attention Please.  Also, this is the point where YamaPi's going to be part of my weekends, since he is featured in the next few doramas i'll be watching. Excellent!

Nobuta Power, Enter!
I have ended up liking YamaPi (or Yamashita Tomohisa of the group NewS) after I watched this dorama.  He was supposed to be annoying here, but i just found him adorable! Perfect! He is Kusano Akira in this series, a guy no one takes seriously.  The other "attraction" here is Kamenashi Kazuya (bishounen! Gender-bender!) of KAT-TUN (another Johnny's Entertainment group, like NewS) playing Kiritani Shuuji, the popular guy who hates what he's doing.  Making another appearance as the only rose among the thorns is Horikita Maki (she was the girl who pretended to be a guy, Ashiya Mizuki, in Hana Kimi, but actually, Nobuta wo Produce came out before Hana Kimi... i think... hehe...).  She played Kotani Nobuko, the weird girl who always seems afraid to talk, to smile... well, actually, to do anything!

Where did "Nobuta" come from? Good question! Nobuta is the nickname the guys gave to Nobuko. =)

This dorama is more serious than Hana Kimi. And i'm so poor at making reviews and summaries that i just wanna paste here a link to the article about Nobuta wo Produce at wiki.theppn.org!  Yay!

Now, about other stuff...
- i bought an electric guitar (Nice!), i had the strings replaced (Nicer!), i put the tremolo arm in (Ready!), and it won't move! it won't come out again! Holy Crap!  There's nothing else to do but to take it back to the shop for service, so i did! but they said couldn't fix it, it's too complicated, i had to take it to the main office in Gil Puyat, Makati. i didn't even know how to get there! Someone told me to go to Buendia (via MRT), i ended up walking from Buendia to Ayala cor Makati Avenue! (those damn Taxis won't let me get in, they said the police/traffic people won't allow them to pick up passengers in that particular area! That day, i hated the world!
-turns out, the main office couldn't repair it, so they arranged for another unit to be given to me as a replacement! *sighs* i have to pick the guitar up from Makati and take it back to Perfect Pitch in SM North, though... tired... i'll do it tomorrow.. maybe...
but if i look at this from another perspective, it means i'm going to have a new guitar again!  Awright!

Next Jdorama I'm watching: Attention Please
There's actually another dorama where Horikita Maki and Yamashita Tomohisa play the main characters, Kurosagi, but i'll watch that later on, coz i might fall in love with YamaPi if i see him a lot! It's not bad if I do, but i don't want to replace my current Number 1! *lol*

I don't believe this! My Number 1, HE's still younger than I am! Holy Sh**! but it's only by a few months, so that's fine, i guess. =)

i just finished watching this! i heard there is going to be a movie or a special soon! can't wait to see more of Oguri Shun and Ikuta Toma! This japanese live action series is really funny! Plus, hot guys abound! Alright! In case anyone is interested, it's about a Japanese girl from California named Ashiya Mizuki (played by Horikita Maki ) who went back to Japan for a mission, sort of. Anyway, it involves the high jumper she admires, Sano Izumi (played by Oguri Shun).  Ashiya disguises herself as a boy so she could enter Ohsaka (or Osaka) High, an all boys school where Sano goes to, and where the students are chosen not so much based on their grades but on their looks! Watch out for Nakatsu (played by Ikuta Toma <-- i love this guy!) That's it, no spoilers! Just watch it and be entertained!
